Disenchanted with life as an award winning comedian and star of a long running children’s show, Miles Jupp looked up at the press box on the day England won the 2005 Ashes and dreamed a dream of becoming a cricket correspondent. Under twelve months later and the dream is a reality. Trouble is, Miles not only finds himself out of his depth, he also finds himself out of work and 4,000 miles away from home, covering England’s tour of India without a an official press pass and some dodgy links as to why he’s there at all. Do you need to know about Cricket? No. Do you need to be a journalist? No, after all Jupp got away with it. All you need is to sit back and revel in one-and-a-quarter hours of pure anecdotal joy that will leave you giggling all the way home and safe in the knowledge that, armed with a just a little determination and an a whole lot of bottle, anything is possible.
