One of the most incredible sublimal messages potentially found in a Chris de Burgh song was discovered recently in the track - 'The Painter'. When this line in the song is reversed, we can hear Chris saying:
'I rinse all suds off of ya' - NOW WARM YOUR SOCKS!'

What these cryptic clues mean - I guess we will never know. It may be that Chris is trying to encript personal details into some of his songs; and when we search, we find it occurs time and time again. In the song - 'Tourist Attraction'; Chris gives us the cryptic clue of: 'And My Feet! At the bulbous knee some are overly sniffy!' - bizarre!

It can be argued that Chris appears to have been giving us clues for years about his subliminal lyrics. If you need proof; listen to this section of the song - 'The Vision', and yes; we have got the forwards and reverse the right way round - it really is this way on the CD promise!

It is only when we reverse play this section of 'The Lady In Red' does it become obvious that the the real lady (if you listen carefully) is actually called 'Lady Eleanor'.

In the song 'Watching The World' ; this line in the song played in reverse reveals the unusual line: 'Your Fire was my wish, I gather at arms- SO GET OFF'.

It may even be that CdeB has been using these techniques for years as a marketing tool - for example:
When this section in 'The Getaway' is reversed; it appears we are repeatedly asked to 'ORDER THE BOOK!'
This technique may have also been used in 1992 for this part of the song 'Talk To Me';
as we can possibly hear Chris singing 'GIVE US CASH!'

These subliminal messages can be heard in most CdeB albums even until recent times.
In this clip of the song 'A Woman's Heart' from 1999; Chris can be heard singing: 'Yes It's no wish, There goes a wish' when it's reverse played.

Now you may be thinking at this point; that all this we have exposed here about reverse lyrics hidden in CdeB songs is just a shameless publicity stunt and a bit of a wind-up? Well.. one parting thought on this subject is the lyrics contained in the song 'Carry On' taken from the 'Crusader' Album:
"Sratseht rofesruo cates,
Nwonknu no it anitsed,
Dlroweht gnillacsi esrevinu eht,
Ecalp gnitser lanif dnatsal rehs-drawot,"

When read backwards they transcribe to:
"Set a course for the stars,
Destination unknown,
The universe is calling the world,
Towards her last and final resting place,"

Mmm... the twilight zone has nothing on reality!
